4 Month Check-up

So Logan really is 5 months old but we are a little behind on doctor visits. Anyway he got his second set of shots and did very well. He now weighs 13.4 lbs and is 25 inches long. In one week he gained a whole lb. That is the most he has gained in a period of time. The doctor said we could start eating some real food! Yeah! We started with rice cereal on Monday and yesterday it was peas. So far he is liking the food and is a champ with the spoon. He new we were holding out on him this whole time and now hes showing us he can eat just like us. I mean he really wants to eat like me....fast and with huge bites...is there any other way?! We are going to see a physical therapist on Monday though. Logan doesn't really have the concept of using his arms to push up when he is on the ground or rolling over and I guess they are supposed to have done all that by now. I am not worried though cause he is just a very relaxed child. He would rather lay around than work...who doesn't?! The physical therapist is a lady from our old ward so that makes me feel a little better. At least I know who she is.

Fun Pictures

Look at me. I can pull myself up. Hurray!!!
If I put him in the Bumbo in the house he doesn't like it. If I put him in it and put him by a glass door he loves it. He thinks he is outside. He really likes to play with his toes!

Family fun outside!

It has been really nice here in Tallahassee so we have been hanging outside a little bit. Logan also LOVES outside so we spend as much time out there as possible...when it isn't sweltering hot!

Peek-a- Boo

Logan now likes to hold onto any type of fabric and put it into his mouth. So instead of any old fabric we gave him his first little blanket. It is just his size and he loves it. He also likes to play peek-a-boo with it.

Playing in our Swing

Logan is finally big enough to play with his toys on his swing so we gave it a whirl! He loves it. He pulls himself up on the rings and sits up....as you can see in the video.

Eating with a Spoon

Here is our first day eating solid foods!! Logan can't get enough! He is becoming quite a PIG!!!

Starting Early!!!

Can you tell he is enjoying himself with the remote control for the video game? I think he just likes the colors....I hope so anyway...I think it is a little too early to love video games!

First Day at the Beach!

Logan loved the beach. He played in the sand with his toes and watch the waves wash ashore. I don't know why but Logan can stand up REALLY well but has no concept of his arms to crawl....we'll see what happens! As you can see Scott put his legs in the water. He liked it until it hit his thighs and then it was all over with...screaming is what came next.

He doesn't mind sunglasses which is a good thing down here in Florida.

We enjoyed our Easter weekend with the Luca boys and Roger's mom Mimi. The Easter bunny made it out to the beach and left us all baskets!! Thanks Mr. Bunny!

Conference!

I love that we get to lay around on conference weekend as a family and just enjoy the talks and one another! We decided to take it to the floor this time since our dog Blackie had a hurt back and couldn't get up on the couches. It was a great conference weekend. Sat. session we went to the Harrington's to eat lunch and watch conference. Katie and John Newman were there with there baby Kiley. She is about 2 or 3 weeks younger than Logan and is just a doll. Logan and her hung out for a bit and it was so cute to watch the together. I will still some pictures from Kaitlyn soon and post them .....(OK Kaitlyn!!).

Coming Home!

Scott and I left at 11:30am on Tuesday and got home on Wednesday at 9:00am. Our last flight got canceled while we were in Atlanta because of "maintenance" but really it was because of weather. There were about 50 other flights around us being canceled and I couldn't imagine that they all had maintenance problems. Because it was maintenance issues they set us up in a hotel and gave us food vouchers. When we got to the hotel I noticed that I lost my boppy pillow. It was quite sad because we used that pillow ALL the time! It was nice to finally be in our own home and see our doggies. 3 weeks away from home is a long time I realized but it was well worth it.

Grandma and Grandpa Nichols

Until my Pat sends me some pictures I don't have any photos of our stay at their house other than this one....Aren't you lucky Janelle!!! This is actually at our family shower for Logan. This is where he got these cool sunglasses!! Scott finally joined us the week we stayed with his family. We had a great time. His whole family was together for the first time in 2 years. Scott went up boarding twice while Logan and I enjoyed shopping with the girls...I am not sure if he appreciated it but we had fun! Logan did get to see snow for the first time. Of course I have no pictures of it...erg...when I get a new camera everything will be different. It was fun for me to get to know Tawnya's family since they live on the opposite end of the country we don't see them often but hopefully we will make it more often than every 2 years. We got to take family photos with the whole family plus individual family pictures. I am so excited to see them because while we were taking our individual pictures part of the family was in front of us singing Logan's songs to us to get him to smile and in doing so it made me and Scott laugh.

Here is a picture of one of the outfits we got from the baby showers. Of course Scott's loves it because it is all soccer and it also he looks cute in it!

Here is what we learned from Kaile and Gavin...EVERYTHING GOES ON YOUR HEAD! While changing his diaper we decided to try it out and it he liked it and he looked pretty cool. We have done many others since this picture! It definitely makes things fun!

Walking with Crystal, Austin, Logan, Rachel (Crystal's sister-in-law) and her son Caleb. Logan and Caleb strolled in this giant stroller........While Austin hung out with his mommy in the Bjorn. He LOVES that thing!

This is my other favorite swing that I am buying off eBay cause he loved it so much. It plays music, swings him, lights up and it is portable. Plus he is able to grab onto the toys very easily.

This was Logan's first sick night ever. We had been in Utah for 2 nights and this is what happens! The night after that I got sick as well...FUN VACATION! I have to say he was quite a trooper for his first sickness. While I was at my moms I slept up stairs where there was a crib right next to me. When he got sick with a congested nose sat him up a bit so he could breath and came down stairs where it was a little bit more airy. He slept for three ours like this and then didn't really sleep the rest of the night. He is just barely getting over it and my nephews are still sick from it...cold Utah weather didn't do so well with us I guess.

Here is my little sick boy! Doesn't he just look pitiful! I am soooo grateful that he really is a healthy baby and other than that small cold he has been great!

Grandma and Grandpa Stone' House

Hanging in one of my favorite swings.

Watching Baby Mozart with my cousins and grandma. Logan LOVED this video. Tyson loved Logan and Austin wanted to attack him at all times!! That is his way of saying he loved him too!Bowling with his aunts and cousins. He obviously didn't know what was going on but we had fun. I bowled a whopping 67!!! I am very talented.
My aunt Marlene and Dave were there for the first week we were there and we had a ton of fun. Logan just loved being held ALL the time by everyone. Now that we are home he doesn't like being put down too much!

Here is another swing that he got to take naps in. Can you tell that he didn't mind a bit!

I wish I would have taken more photos of what we did but this will have to suffice for now. While my aunt Marlene and Dave were there my dad decided that he finally wanted to take out this massive entertainment center that really doesn't belong in a house like ours. It took up a whole wall...as you can see. Well we took it down and behind it was a pretty good wall and a hole in the carpet to the wood floors. So what ended up happening this....the wall got fixed up, the room got painted, the carpet got ripped up and the wood floors refinished. All in a matter of two weeks. I will post after pictures once the rooms are put back together and my mom or dad send them to me. I have to say though that the room looks incredible!!! I wish I lived closer so I could see it more often.I love it!

Logan's First Vacation

Pat entertaining Logan in the Jacksonville airport. Our flight was delayed by an hour. Not the greatest start to Logan's first trip! As you can tell he was quite content. Just sucking away on that thumb of his. I was impressed with his patience since we just got done with a 2 hour car ride to the airport.

He has quite a confused look on his face..."why am I in a tiny little seat sitting in my boppy? I guess I'll just suck my thumb and wait to see what happens!"Yippee!! Here we go!! He was very interested in everything moving outside the plane as we started to taxi onto the jet way.

Logan's Blessing!

Logan was blessed on March 8th but his dad Scott! It was a great blessing. It was really neat because we had a lot more family there than expected. Those that were there from out of town were Scott's parents Pat and Cary, my mom's brother Scott and his wife Jean and Pat's brother-in-law Brad. Then there was my uncle Roger and his kids Jarrod and Wil. Not to mention some friends from my work, the Gwynn's, Lila and Jen + her little boy Brayden. Some of them almost missed the blessing cause of timing issues. Because of Logan's massive blow out that happened literally 3 min. before he was supposed to be blessed, they all made it. It was a beautiful blessing that Scott gave him. I shed a tear or two! I know that Logan is heaven sent and I love him so so much. Each day my love for him grows as I watch him learn and grow.
