First night of teething...stuffy and exhausted at 4am!

We can finally see the teeth that are about to pop through but who knows when that will actually happen. Logan is a bit fussy because of teething but for the most part he is a champ! We had one night so far with a stuffy nose and hardly any sleep. Poor little guy didn't understand that he couldn't suck his thumb because he needed to breath with his mouth instead! That was three nights ago and since then he has slept through the night! YEAH!

Here we are at 1am sitting in a steam shower. As you can tell he is a bit tired!

Pool Day with some of our friends!

Starting to use the Potty!

Logan started using the big boy potty about 3 months ago for fun. Then I decided that he could really go #2 in the potty so why not skip poopy diapers and go straight to flushing them down the toilet! We catch most of them but some times he is tricky and makes no sign of needing to go #2. I am hoping the this will lead into real potty training but we'll see!

Starting to Stand with out our Help!

Logan wants nothing to do with crawling so I decided that if he wants to walk then I am going to help him along the way. He is starting to balance really well on things but still gets a little scared when you let go of his hands or body! He wants to just walk all over the place and can't do it himself so unfortunately our backs are paying for it!

What 7 1/2 month old Logan is up to these days..

~wanting to be independent of his parents but can't walk or crawl.

~trying his darnedest to get up onto to his feet to walk around instead of trying to get up on his hands and knees to crawl. He is determined to skip crawling and go straight to walking.

~walks around while holding our hands

~screaming at the top of his lungs in the most inappropriate places....like church. How do you teach a 7 month old about reverence?

~babbling about who knows what!!

~eating big boy food in baby form (pureed)

~loving the water and being a champ about putting his face in just a little bit.

~loving grass....I am not the biggest fan of Florida grass because of bugs and things but Logan is in love with it. He wants to kick it, eat it and especially feel it!

~throwing all toys I give to him in his car seat.

~sleeping through the night once he actually falls asleep....some days he goes down at 8:30pm and other days it is 12AM!! At least he doesn't wake up until around 8:30am

~pooping and peeing in the big boy potty once and a while...it is awesome but I think this is just a fluke. I am sure that when it comes time to really potty train he will refuse!

~sitting up all by himself...he is getting SO strong.

~sitting up in the tub for bath time! He loves to play with the water while it is filling up the tub.

~drinking out of a sipping cup with no insert piece. He spills a bit but is doing really well.

~holds his own bottle when HE feels like it.

~being a little bit grumpy but I believe he is starting the teething process so totally understandable. I am not and expert though so we'll see if I am right in the next month or so when teeth start popping up or not.

Overall he is growing up so quickly. We love it though. Time seems to be going at just the right pace. I love all the new things he is learning and doing. He is a smiley little guy and loves to laugh at everything, especially our dogs. I just love being his mom and being there every moment of his little life! I can't imagine life with out him.

p.s. when we get a new camera I will post tonz of pictures!!

What we did with Grandma and Grandpa Nichols

Watched the most beautiful sunset!

Helped Logan walk all over the beach while waiting for the the sun to set.
Can you tell that he loves the sand! He couldn't get enough of it this day.
Logan held his own bottle while we all enjoyed watching Scott play a little Soccer! Played in some of the biggest waves we have had around here!
Had lunch on the beach in the hot sun!!!

Watched Logan be the center piece of the table!
Watched Logan laugh and smile all day every day!

We had a great 4th of July week with Pat and Cary. The beach house was as fun as ever. Roger and the boys were there with us and on the 4th some friends of theirs came over to have burgers and light off fireworks. So there was a total of 17 people hanging out on the 4th of July! Logan thought he needed all the attention during the festivities! He would scream at the top of his lungs until his face would turn red and once every looked at him he would laugh...actually even if nobody looked at him he would laugh. He though he was SO funny!

$th of July night everyone went down to the beach to watch and light off the HUGE fireworks (totally illegal by the way) that the Lucas bought in Alabama, while Pat and I watched from the balcony. Little Logan fell asleep so we just stayed in and talked about many different topics of life! It was just great!!! Pat and I can talk for hours so it felt like only 10 min. but really it was a good 2 or 3 hours! The firework show that we saw was like a professional one. There were about 3 different groups lighting them off so it was a big show!

While swimming one day we saw dolphins very close to us! They jumped a few times and then off they went. Later that day we heard that just down the shore some people caught 3 sharks! YIKES! They were little but still...where were their parents.....exactly....right behind them I'm sure!!!!

Overall it was a great trip. Thanks Pat and Cary for visiting us! We always look forward to the good laughs, fun jokes and good talks that we always have! Love ya lots!

ALRIGHT PEOPLE WHO IS NEXT TO VISIT US???? WE ARE A LOT OF FUN!!!
