Not the trip to Utah that I had planned...

When I left Tallahassee I was 32 weeks pregnant and excited about a two week trip to see family and friends. I am now 36 weeks pregnant and STILL in UTAH! Why you ask? The first week I was here I got a really bad cold that turned into a sinus infection and the second week I was here I got the stomach flu. With all of the wonderful symptoms that go along with those illnesses, coughing like crazy and throwing up it threw me into preterm labor. I went to the hospital and low and behold I was dilated to a 2. The Dr. highly recommended that I didn't get on an airplane while still pregnant. So I am here waiting for this little guy to arrive.

Scott was with me the 2nd week I was here but had to return to FL to take care of our doggies and house for 2 1/2 weeks. I think that is the longest we have been apart since we got married and hopefully we won't have to do this ever again.

Although all of this seemed quite annoying when it all first started to happen, I have been realizing more and more the reasons for why this is happening this way. For example, while Scott was here the first time around there was a PDL soccer team that he tried out for in Ogden. He didn't make the team and figured it was because he was too old for that league. Then a week later the coach called him and told him he was the best player out there and the only reason that he didn't choose him to play for his team was because of his age. I guess in the past the coach took some older players and they always seem to quit because family and work were priorities. Any way, the couch said that since he was going to be here anyway that he could come train with the team. So there is one resson I got stuck here in good old Utah. If we would have been back in FL Scott wouldn't have the opporunity to train with the team and the possibility of still playing for this team.

Our wonderful friend back in Tallahassee is taking care of our dogs and our house until we get back and who knows when that will be so thank goodness for our friend Lila!

We are staying at my parents for now and see Scott's family quite often. The best part about being stuck here is that we get to be around family for a good 2 months. I am sure that will just make it harder to leave when the time comes but for now we are just going to soak it all in. Logan LOVES being around so much family! There is always someone to play with and laugh at!

He is growing up so fast! He is starting to say more and more words and has such a funny little personality. I am so grateful that he is so easy going because I am sure there are some babies/toddlers who wouldn't be as happy without the comfort of their own house.

Random Pictures

Here are just a few random pictures that I haven't put up. As you can see from this post to the next that Logan got a cool haircut! His hair was getting a little out of control!

Scott's Birthday Weekend

For Scott's birthday we went out to Roger's beach house with our friends David and Kaitlyn and their 8 week old baby Rosalie. It was a lot of fun. We had nice weather and the kids were great! We ate out at some new places that David and Kaitlyn showed us and just hung out. David and Scott played golf two different days at different golf courses. Logan enjoyed the beach and I think he will really love it once it is warm enough to put his whole body in the ocean. It was just warm enough to stick your feet in!

Random Pics

This is Logan and his friend Gabrielle playing with Logan's fire engine.

As you can see, Gabrielle is a bit of a dare devil..Logan can't even get up on it to sit down by himself and she is standing on it with no hands!!!

Crazy hair day! He fell asleep with his hair flat and this is how it looked when he woke up! He obviously doesn't mind, seeing that he is happy as a clam with his arms up!

This is our front yard from the last crazy storm that came through. That puddle went up to Scott's ankles!
